We offer CPR training courses, including the RECOVER Rescuer Certification®, specifically designed for veterinary professionals.

The Vintage RVN CPR Training

Regular CPR training is essential in all veterinary practices. All team members, from nurses and vets to receptionists, should be trained in CPR to ensure a confident, coordinated response during an emergency. Learn with us how to perform the most up-to-date, evidence-based CPR so you have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to act decisively in emergencies—ultimately saving patients’ lives.

The consensus in both the veterinary and human literature is that teams benefit significantly from regular training sessions.

Retraining is essential for maintaining practical skills and enhancing survival rates, and it should occur at least every 3 to 6 months.

By taking one of our courses, you can be assured that you have the most up-to-date knowledge and the confidence and practical skills to put that knowledge into action.

CPR Refresher Session – We come to you!

This training session will refresh the team’s knowledge of veterinary CPR, enabling them to deliver high-quality compressions and ventilations to patients should the worst happen. The team will follow the most up-to-date guidelines published by the RECOVER Initiative, the first evidence-based veterinary cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) guidelines. The first half of the session covers the theoretical part of basic life support, after which there will be lots of opportunity for practice on the mannequins.
The training sessions typically last 2-3 hours, and all necessary training materials, including mannequins, ET tubes, ambu-bags and scenario checklists, will be provided on the day.
To ensure the best learning experience, it is recommended that no more than six team members attend each session. For larger teams, consider booking two consecutive sessions on the same day or scheduling an additional session on a different day.

COST £300 per session (not per person). All areas of the North West covered.

Train the Trainer | CPR Trainer Training

This Basic Life Support Train-the-Trainer course is ideal for individuals looking to refresh their own CPR knowledge and interested in training others so that they can deliver effective, confidence-inspiring CPR training to a high standard.

These skills will ensure that more people within the practice are properly trained in the skills they need to save a life.

These sessions are typically held in-house, at your practice, and run for 4-6 hours. The first part of the session is a 1-2-1 session with the learner (soon to be trainer) reviewing all key concepts of basic and advanced life support with a RECOVER Certified Instructor®. After which, other team members are invited to the session, allowing the learner to gain experience teaching CPR while being fully supported throughout by the Instructor.

Upon completing this course, the new trainer will possess the knowledge and skills to train all existing members of the team, as well as newcomers.

This course has the benefit not only of training the trainer but also of providing training for 2-3 team members during the second part of the session.
